Terry R. Kimes, age 67, of Oswego, IL passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. He was born on March 10, 1947 in Berwyn, IL, the son of Gerald E. and Laura A. nee Russell Kimes. He worked for Caterpillar for 37 years, having retired in 2004. He was a long time member of the Crossroads Community Church in Aurora, IL. He enjoyed woodworking and being with his family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kay (Diehl) Kimes, daughters Jill (Joe) Berenyi, Michele (Eric) Prater, Heather (Taff) Mace, grandchildren Alison Prater, Rachel Prater, Kevin Prater, Sydney Berenyi, Gwen Berenyi, Tatum Berenyi, Teagan Mace, Ryker Mace and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joanne Laman, and a brother Jack Kortus. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Crossroads Community Church, 3003 S. Eola Road, Aurora, IL 60503 with Pastor Ed Doepel officiating.
