Marilyn Rose Kieres, age 89, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL, surrounded by her family. She was born May 28, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of LeRoy and Rose Marie nee Thon Iverson. She was a secretary for Waubonsee Community College for many years. She enjoyed old movies, dancing, dominos and working as an election judge during local elections. She retired to Lakeview, Arkansas for over 13 years before returning to Aurora. She is survived by her children Michael Kieres (Frayda Morris) of Orlando, FL, Mark (Tracy) Kieres of Aurora, IL, Candy (John) Miller of Aurora, IL, Christopher (Michelle) Kieres of NC, 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Jack Iverson of NY and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mitchell and a brother Warren. An open house in her memory will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 2-6 PM at Silver Oaks Community Center at 1819 Silver Oaks Circle, Aurora, IL 60504.
