Russel William Kelley, age 84, of Montgomery, IL died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 4, 1930 in Big Rock, IL the son of the late William R and Mary M (nee Ranzini) Kelley. Russel served his country honorably with the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He is a member of Soka Gakki International of Japan, Aurora Hunting and Fishing Club and Barber-Greene Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a lover of the great outdoors and especially fishing. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Henry Pratt Co in Aurora, IL. Russel is survived by his wife Ooko (nee Umeki) Kelley, (whom he married on April 18, 1956 in Tokyo, Japan) two daughters Gerrie (Brian) Spang of Montgomery, IL, Janet (Lonnie) Johnson of Montgomery, IL, three sons Doug (Debbie) Kelley of Oswego, Il, Dean Kelley of Oakland, CA, Pat (George) Vacherlon of Mount Dora, FL; five grandchildren Will, Patsy and Michael Kelley, Spencer and Matt Spang; a great granddaughter Alexxa Kelley; sister Patricia Paluska of Aurora, IL, brother Dick (Janet) Kelley of Siren, WI; also by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Geraldine Erickson.
