Kathryn Elizabeth Jones, age 72 of Mt. Vernon, IL, formerly of Oswego, IL, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 with her husband by her side at Celtic Hospice in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was born June 11, 1947 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Louie and Sophia nee Moyer Reid. Kathryn worked various jobs throughout her life. She started as a keypunch operator for Kaufman Brother in Aurora, IL and ended as a diamond remounting specialist. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing on the computer and was the world's biggest Chicago Cubs fan. She is survived by her husband of almost 49 years Albert Jones and her brother Alan Reid. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM until a funeral service at 1:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
