Karen S. Olson, age 70, of Aurora, IL, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born August 27, 1946 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Harry and Norma nee Douglas Hester. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the customer service department of Eby Brown in Aurora, IL. She is survived by her husband of 28 years Rodney Olson, children Kimberly (Kevin) Patrick, Greg (Nancy) Carlson, Keith Carlson, Brandon (Barb) Carlson, Andrea Olson Herrington, grandchildren Blake (Pam Hartford) Patrick, Brett (Lindsay Homme) Patrick, Sydney (Greg Ratliff) Carlson, Dylan Pennington, Aimee Carlson, Madison Carlson, great-grandchildren Finley & Julietta Ratliff, sister Wendy Treest, brothers Ken (Jeanne) Hester, Brian (Cheryl) Hester, three aunts, an uncle and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Gwen Lea Hester in infancy. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
