Julie Buss Stramel, age 55, of Aurora, IL passed away peacefully with family at her side after a long courageous battle against cancer. She was born August 25, 1966, in Aurora, IL the daughter of Robert D Buss and Joanne E (Graf) Buss. Finding her calling later in life, Julie became a CNA at the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle, IL. She loved working with the veterans and brought joy and hope to many. With her positive attitude and hilarious sense of humor, she brightened the days of the residents as well as her coworkers. She continued her commitment to the medical field by bravely donating her body to science for medical research. Julie was fun-loving and adventurous. She enjoyed attending live music events with her many friends and hanging out at home, cuddling with her rescue dog Gus Buss. As the mother of four and big sister of two, she was fiercely protective and would do anything for her family. Julie is survived by three sons Jeffrey F Richardson, Daniel R Richardson, Andrew C Stramel and daughter Abigail R Stramel, one granddaughter Meara J Richardson, her mother Joanne E (Graf) Buss, sister Jennifer L Buss (Trevor) Hoban, brother James D Buss and two nephews, Aidan M and Ryan D Doerzaph. She was preceded in death by her father Robert D Buss in 2007. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
