Judith Ann (Johnson) Southcombe of Sheridan, IL died peacefully at home on March 29, 2021. She was born in Aurora, IL March 16, 1947 to Alvin E. and Betty J. (Stephenson) Johnson. She married William Dennis Southcombe on November 28, 1968 at Helmar Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Judy is survived by her children: Steve (Laura) Southcombe, Eric (Veronica) Southcombe, and Erin (Larry) Kauffman, all of Seneca, IL; her grandchildren: Kaleigh (Alex), Tyler, and Daniel Hoard, Raiden Kauffman, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Aidan, and Samuel Southcombe; three great-grandchildren: Gannon, Oliver, and a baby expected to arrive this Fall. Also surviving are her sister, Dottie (Bill) Akre, her brother, Chuck (Becky) Johnson and her foster brother Ed Reichardt, six nephews, one niece, and several great- nieces and nephews. Judy was retired from AT&T. She was a member of Fox River Lutheran Church, where she served in various positions. She had served as Treasurer for Cottonwood Lakes Church, Hope Hacienda Church, and of a chapter of AT&T Pioneers. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, and travel. Judy also participated in two mission trips to the Navajo nation in New Mexico and Arizona. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1 from 4-7pm at Fox River Lutheran Church, Sheridan, IL. The funeral will be at 10:30am on Friday, April 2, also Fox River Lutheran Church, with burial immediately after at Fox River Cemetery.
