Judith Ann Meehan Swain, beloved wife and best friend of Bob, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021.
She was surrounded by her children, Rob (Leslie), Kate (Rich) Guger, and John (Angie), who are grieving temporarily but, more importantly, are overjoyed that Mom and Dad are finally reunited after more than twenty years apart.
She lives on in her grandchildren Meghan, Madison, Will, Lexis, Samantha, Carley, Tom, and Kelsey.
She was born in Chicago, and grew up in Crystal Lake (C-L-CHS!), with her parents Robert and Nona (Cassin) and siblings Bob (Carol, after many loving decades with the late Julie), Casey, and Mike (Jean). Some friends and family were waiting for her on the other side, and some are left behind to miss her for a while, but they all filled her life with light and love and joy - Dottie, Jackie and Doug, Dan and Maureen, John and Donna, Dan and Shannon, Ed and Rita, Ed and Pat, Jack and Shirley, and too many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones to list. She spent many happy mornings drinking tea with Gale, Joan, and Gill, and many happy nights drinking with the Blues, making memories that keep them connected as Forever Friends across time, distance, and dimension.
A retired nurse, she dedicated her life to caring for others, and spent her last months here with Meadowbrook Manor Naperville and Angel's Grace Hospice, who cared for her as one of their own. Thank you to Joyce, Lisabeth, Sandy, Anthony, Kristen, Terrence, Jinzy, Hannah, Alice, and so many others.
Cremation and interment will be private, in keeping with Mom's wishes; so instead of flowers or memorials, the family asks that you cue up a copy of Hey Jude, picture Mom and Dad back together, and think of them laughing and loving and happy as they get their quarter's worth from the big jukebox in the sky.
