Judith "Judy" Ann Sorrells Grove, age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 25, 2023, at Symphony at Tillers in Oswego, Illinois.

She was born in Jacksonville, Illinois on March 29, 1939, to the late Ray Winfield Sorrells and Josephine "Betty" Elizabeth Sorrells nee Kauder.

Judy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of many people with her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Judy was married to her husband, William "Bill" Kenneth Grove for 52 years before his passing, and they will be reunited once more at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook, Illinois, where she will be laid to rest on May 1, 2023.

She is survived by her two sons, William "Bill" (wife, Melissa "Missy") and Michael "Mike," as well as her grandchildren, Trevor, Megan, and Kaitlyn, and her sisters, Jean Sorrells Jones and Jane Sorrells Peterson.

Throughout her life, Judy was a lifelong learner who earned multiple degrees, demonstrating her passion for knowledge and self-improvement. She had a variety of hobbies, including reading, listening to music, especially live music, playing the organ and piano, dancing, especially square dancing, and coloring. She had a special love for animals of all kinds, and was an avid birdwatcher, friend to the squirrels, and always had a cat on her lap and a dog by her side.

Judy will be remembered for her generous heart, her kind and gentle nature, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
