It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Jean Hutchison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world peacefully on June 18, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on June 14, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Judith was a beacon of love and strength for her family and friends throughout her life.

Judith was the cherished daughter of Russell and Helene (nee Petersen) Dotson, who preceded her in death. She found joy in her family, raising her three children—Kathleen (Tom) Anglebrandt, Michael (Deborah) Hutchison, and Daniel (Julie) Hutchison. Judith's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Thomas (Valerie) Hanrahan, Jon Hanrahan, Evan Hutchison, Ethan Hutchison, and Alyssa Hutchison, as well as her great-grandchildren, Henry Hanrahan and Aurelia Hanrahan. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and love with them.

Judith dedicated a significant part of her life to her career, retiring as the secretary to the principal of Herrick Jr. High School, where her warm demeanor and unwavering dedication left a lasting impression on all those she encountered. She was not just a colleague; she was a confidante and friend to many, always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand.

Beyond her professional life, Judith was deeply involved in her community. She was a devoted member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, Illinois, where her faith and commitment to her community shone brightly. Judith's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joyful and challenging times.

Judith was known for her vibrant personality and her passions. She was an avid supporter of the Chicago Blackhawks, always cheering them on with enthusiasm, and she followed all Canadian teams with equal fervor. Her love for horse racing, particularly the Kentucky Derby, brought her immense joy, providing her with memories filled with excitement and camaraderie.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward T. Hutchison, Judith's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She embodied kindness, generosity, and resilience, qualities that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
