Judith Ann Dixon, age 76, of Montgomery, IL died August 29, 2015 Saturday at Joliet Area Community Hospice in Joliet, IL. She was born April 19, 1939 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of the late Lyle H and A nee Stephen Meliza. She graduated from Wood ruff High School in Peoria, IL and she attended college at the Chicago Art Institute.
Judi went through life with a smile and always displayed compassion for others. She was a wonderful artist, great cook, loved to fish and enjoyed many vacations within the U.S. and many foreign countries. Judi was an asset to her husband working alongside him on many veteran related projects and events. She was employed by A.T. &T. for 18 years and Dreyer Medical Clinic for 8 years.
Judy is survived by her husband Edward (Whom she married on May 17, 1980 in Aurora, IL), two daughters Rebecca Locke, Cheryl (Jason) Tate, two step-sons Norman Dixon, Scott L Dixon, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Edward Dixon, Jr., granddaughter Shannon Griffin, brother Ronald Meliza and sister-in-law Gayle Navajar.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 4:00 PM until the funeral service/time of sharing at 7:00 PM with Pastor Deborah Tinsley-Taylor officiating at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL.
Burial will take place on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
