Joyce Elaine Black, age 90, of Aurora, IL, peacefully passed away with her family by her side at her residence on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She was born January 8, 1931 in Appleton, WI, the daughter of Robert Carl and Dorothy nee Theimer Timm. Joyce spent her life raising her family and taking care of her home. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Montgomery, IL where she sang in the church choir. She left a legacy of faith and devotion to the Lord. She was the family genealogist and loved serving as a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son David Black of Aurora, IL, daughter Diane (Patrick) Dailey of Downers Grove, IL, grandchildren Jason Black of Aurora, IL, Tiffany (Arlan) Syverson of Yorkville, IL, great-grandchildren Magdelynn, and Evelynne of Yorkville, IL, sister Doris (William) Kucinski of Rochelle, IL and nephew Terry (Pat) Lechner of West Bend, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clarence W. Black. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 9:30 AM until a funeral service at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 63 Fernwood, Montgomery, IL, 60538. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL. Memorials may be directed to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
