Joseph Anthony Stary, Jr. Age 81 at rest peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at home surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on June 22, 1942, in Chicago, IL. the son of the late Joseph Anthony Sr. and Mabel nee Brackney. Joe started his life's journey working at his father's dairy in Chicago. He later went on to teach children in the inner-city before finding his niche in real estate, eventually leading to becoming a local custom home builder. He married Judy, the love of his life, in October 1978. He had a passion for hunting and dog training. He was a great friend to many, an avid sportsman, a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved 40's and 50's music, dancing, his black labs, a good old fashion, and he made life fun for all who knew him.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife Judy A. nee Nylen, children; Jodi (Matt) Wright, Laura (Chad) Dickey, Brent (Tracy) Stary and Adam (Nikki) Stary, grandchildren; Zacary (Jordan) and Kady Wright, Ashley, Trisha and Kevin Dickey, Jackie, Sarah, Joe, and Ava Stary, sister Janet Nelsen

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Joseph will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 10:15 A.M. until the time of service 1:00 P.M. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, Il 60543.

In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society or Restore Church 8710 IL 71 Yorkville, IL 60560 would be appreciated.
