Dixie Leatherman Johnson, 76 years, of Oswego, IL died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. She was born November 8, 1937 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Raymond V and Gladys A nee Thorpe Leatherman. Dixie had been employed at Dreyer Medical Clinic in housekeeping for twenty years, at All-Steel for thirteen years as a key punch operator, at Caterpillar for ten years as a key punch and was the owner/operator of Oswego Antique Market in Oswego, IL with her late husband Virgil until it closed in April of 2008. Dixie is survived by children Kathy and Jeff (Sandy); four fosters sons Josh and Julio Tornabeni; Chris and Nick Mascarella; two grandchildren Adam and Andrew Johnson; a great granddaughter Mary Johnson and a brother Roger Leatherman of Aurora, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Johnson, two daughters Jayne and Cindy. Visitation will be on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL with Rev Phil Sheets officiating.
