Edward David Johnson, Sr., age 85, of Burr Ridge, IL passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Autumn Leaves in Oswego, IL. He was born December 24, 1928 in Chicago, IL, the son of Adolph and Bertha (nee Skala) Johnson. Edward proudly served his country as a PVT in the US Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of an Oldsmobile dealership for many years prior to his retirement in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 60 years C. Audrey Johnson of Burr Ridge, IL, children Edward D. Johnson, Jr. of Plainfield, IL, Susan A. (Johnson) Stockmann of Bellevue, WA, grandchildren Lauren Stojak, Edward D. Johnson III, Richard E. Stockmann, Jr., Christopher E. Stockmann, Ryan E. Johnson, great-grandchild Avery K. Stojak, brother Elmer Johnson, niece Audrey A. Johnson, and many friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Evelyn Litviak, LaVerne Elsen, and Virginia Janovsky, and brother Wilbur Johnson. Cremation was performed in accordance to Edward's wishes.
