John Robert Watts, age 79, formerly of Oswego/Plainfield, IL passed away peacefully Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Pavilion on Main Street in Sandwich, IL. He was born February 14, 1944, in Fulton, KY the son of the late John B and Juanita V Watts.

He proudly owned John Watts Custom Home Construction prior to his retirement. He loved animals, family and sports. He sponsored as well as coached baseball for many years. He was a former member of the Yorkville Moose Lodge #2371 in Yorkville, IL and a member of the First Baptist Church of Downers Grove, IL

He is survived by his children Bob (Pam) Watts, Vicki (Steve) Hutchings, Mike (Cheryl) Watts, Tina (Tom) Byrne, grandchildren Joshua Hutchings, Ashley Morecraft, Bobby Baird, Rachel Hutchings, great grandchildren Dean Hutchings, Ryan Larson, Emma Hutchings, Brooklyn Morecraft, Aubrey Morecraft, Easton Baird, Holden Baird, sisters Jackie (Jim) Bell, Jayne (Louis) Goldsmith, also several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by wife of 50+ years Dora and grandson Christopher Watts.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, Il. Graveside service will be Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM in Milburn Cemetery, Milburn, KY.
