John V. Strasky, Jr., 62, of Oswego, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was born on March 31, 1954 in Berwyn, Illinois, to the late John V. Sr. and Kathryn Marie Petrisko Strasky. John earned his Bachelor's Degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb in marketing. He later married Paula Piasecki Johnson on September 21, 2008 at Arrowhead Golf Course in Wheaton. He attended Big Life Community Church in Oswego and previously Willow Creek Church in Barrington. There he was involved in bible study, various men's groups, and Campus Crusades for Christ (formerly C.R.U). John also worked part time providing customer service for Crossmark at local pet stores in Oswego and Yorkville. He is survived by his wife Paula; children Joy (fiancé Ryan), John III, and Caroline (fiancé Ken); step-children Britni, Erika, and Graham Johnson; sister Kathy (Brad) Apple; niece Leah (John) Tebbe; nephew Zachary (Lindsey) Apple; great-nephews Gavin Robert and Emmett John Tebbe, and Dalton Scott and Wyatt Joseph Apple; and many friends.
