John Shramuk, of Yorkville, IL passes away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 26, 2023.

John was married to the late Joan Shramuk (nee Wagner) for 54 years. He was the father of Robert (Darlene) Shramuk, Susan (Richard) Stefanski and Gary (Shannon) Shramuk. He was a proud grandfather to Alan, Kirby, and Max Shramuk, Joshua Stefanski, Jordan (Matthew) Shanahan and had an extra special bond with eldest grandson Cameron Stefanski. He was great grandfather aka "Big" to four, Vivan, Louis, Meredith and Annalise Shanahan.

John was an U.S. Army Veteran with lots of stories. He was business minded from a young age. He peddled hotdogs in the Pilsen area on wagons he built. He built newspaper stands in Chicago for his children to work. He valued and encouraged work ethic and education. He worked for Rockwell International in many roles for most of his career retiring in 1981. He loved vacationing with family and friends, fishing poker and sharing his wisdom with his grandchildren. His kindness and generosity were shared with countless people.

He truly lived a great 88 years and will be greatly missed by all family and friends.

Services were held privately.
