John Peter Pienta, age 71, of Yorkville, IL, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. He was born on November 24, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the son of Walter and Angeline nee Podalok Pienta. John was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. He worked as an operations manager for leasing companies in the intermodal shipping industry prior to his retirement in 2016. He is survived by his wife Mary Anne (whom he married on April 14, 1973 in Cicero, IL), sister Gertrude Pienta, brother James Pienta and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene Pienta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street, Yorkville, IL 60560.
