John Kuney, III, 73 years of Yorkville, IL died Friday, May 14, 2021 at Asbury Garden in North Aurora, IL. He was born October 30, 1947 in Aurora, IL the son of the late John B. and Lillian nee Wilber Kuney, Jr. John graduated from the University of Illinois in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in architecture. While in college, he joined Phi Gamma Delta and kept in contact with his brothers over the years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Aurora, IL. He loved all sports, but especially skiing in Colorado. His greatest treasures were his dogs. He is survived by a sister Margaret K (Robert) Plaskas of Oswego, IL, nephews Aaron Plaskas, Jonathan Plaskas and brother-in-law Robert Plaskas. Cremation took place at American Crematory in Oswego and will be followed by a graveside service on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Spring Lake Cemetery, 745 S Lincoln Ave, Aurora, IL.
