John R. DeCillo, 68, passed away on January 14, 2016 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born November 12, 1947 in Chicago, the son of Anthony J. and Sophie nee Majewski DeCillo. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in Vietnam working as an aircraft mechanic. He later worked for Midway Airlines as an A&P Mechanic before he retired. John married Karen Bajorek on October 14, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of Harvest New Beginnings Church in Oswego and the VFW Post # 7452 in Montgomery. He is survived by his wife Karen, sister-in-law Charlotte DeCillo, sister-in-law Shirley (Thomas) Bonk, sister-in-law Donna Nickeas, brother-in-law Thomas (Louise) Bajorek, and many nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Anthony DeCillo, and a sister Mary (Fred) Marek, and brother-in-law John Nickeas.
