Robert B. Jock – Beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 70, of Oswego, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Seasons Hospice Center in Naperville, IL. He was born May 22, 1944 in Chicago, IL, the son of Benjamin C. and Corine nee Hendricks Jock. Robert graduated from Lemont High School. Robert served his country honorably with the US Army during the Vietnam War. After the service, he went to work as a meat cutter for 40 years, retiring from Eagle Country Market in 2002. He enjoyed cooking at special events for the Tiger Athletic Club, golfing and gardening. He was a member of the Montgomery, IL VFW Post 7452, the United Food and Commercial Workers Union 1540, and was a well-known school bus driver for Oswego School District 308. Robert is survived by his wife of 44 years Shirley Jock of Oswego, IL, daughter Andrea (Andy) Bohr of Plano, IL, son Brian (Jennifer) Jock of Shorewood, IL, grandchildren Brandon, Kirsten and Grant Bohr of Plano, IL, Jayden and Jillian Jock of Shorewood, IL, and sisters Barbara (Leonard) Johnson of Homer Glen, IL, Katherine (Robert) Homerding of Cape Coral, FL, Deborah (Steve) Monks of Lake Geneva, WI and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM with burial following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL 60421.
