Jimmy Willy Wagenmakers, 87, of Plainfield, originally from West Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1937, in Magalang, Indonesia, the son of John Wagenmakers and Noesje Bolio Wagenmakers.

Brother of Eleonora, Irene, Diana, Robbie, Edith, Margery, Loeke, Peggy, Geerte, Wybren, and Maria.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Jantje Hulshof-Wagenmakers, to whom he was married for 65 years. Father of Priscilla Kelly, Melinda Reinbacher (Jay), Margie Grist (Bobbie) Grandfather of Michael Fratto, Megan Kodak (Mike), Samantha Linden, (Jake) Angela Reinbacher, Brittany Grist, (Mike) Kelly Grist .Great-grandfather of Hendricks Paul Linden.

Jimmy was a family man and learned to care for others at a young age.

During World War II in Indonesia, he was the eldest and had to care for his younger sisters and brother. He always maintained this caring spirit. He served in the military and was a self-made man. He retired from ATT for over 30 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Jantje. Jimmy was also an excellent cook and loved the outdoors. His warmth, hospitality, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The service was held privately. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY.
