IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jennifer "Jenny"
Platt (Nee Pierson)
November 1, 1980 – February 3, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer "Jenny" Platt (nee Pierson), who left this world on February 3, 2025, at the age of 44 in Naperville, Illinois. Born on November 1, 1980, in Hinsdale, Illinois, Jenny was a vibrant soul whose spirit touched all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jenny was the beloved daughter of Drew and the late Barbara (nee Wolf) Pierson. Her mother's passing left a profound mark on her life, but Jenny carried the warmth of her mother's love with her always. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael "Mike" Platt, and her two cherished children, son Zac and daughter Kayte. Jenny's family was her world; she poured her heart into every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
On June 2, 2002, Jenny and Mike united in marriage, embarking on a journey filled with love, laughter, and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with adventure, raising their children with the same love and kindness that Jenny embodied. She loved to be on the back of the motorcycle with Mike, embracing the freedom of the open road and the thrill of their shared adventures.
Jenny was a proud graduate of Plano High School, and she became known for her work ethic and commitment to her jobs. She previously worked at the Sheridan BP and was currently employed at the Dollar General in Newark, where she made many friends and touched the lives of her coworkers with her infectious smile and genuine kindness.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jenny was an active member of her community, proudly affiliated with the Ladies of the D.O.J. LEMC. She believed in the power of community and the importance of connection, contributing her time and energy to make a difference in the lives of those around her.
Jenny was a woman of many passions; she relished every opportunity to spend time with friends, creating bonds that would last a lifetime. Her laughter could light up a room, and her love for life was evident in everything she did. She had an unparalleled ability to make everyone feel special and loved, drawing people to her with her warmth and generosity.
As we remember Jenny, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and adventure. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory, payable to Mike Platt c/o P.O. Box 27, Sheridan, Illinois.
Jenny's light may have dimmed, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Jenny. Your love will continue to inspire all who knew you.
