Jeffrey John Stech, age 55, of Aurora, IL died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born October 23, 1959 in Chicago, IL. Jeff retired from General Motors in 2009, and for the past several years he had been the primary caretaker for his mother, who suffers from Lewy body dementia. There are no words to express the gratitude that we the families have for Jeff and the great love and patience that he had in taking care of Mom. He was an avid fan of the Blackhawks, rock music (too loud!), conspiracy theories and every mile of Lake Shore Drive. His wry, understated sense of humor and love for the members of his family will be missed. God bless him. He is survived by his mother Dorothy A nee Wagner, two sisters Rebecca Stech, Mary (Gregg) Olson, three brothers Don (Holly) Stech, David (Gail) Stech and Bill (Ann) Stech, proud uncle to SSG Daniel Stech, SSG Timothy Stech, Sgt Jeremy Stech, all serving with the US Army, Greg Stech, Carl Stech, Ben Stech, Justin (Ashley) Stech, Ethan Olson, Gabriella Crivilare and Daniella Ubelhor, also several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was always happy to see them all! He was preceded in death by his father Donald L Stech and nephew Joshua Stech. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church 701 S Eola Rd Aurora, IL. Cremation was accorded the wish of the family.
