Jeanene M nee Dienst Coziahr, age 84, of Yorkville, IL died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1934 in Sandwich, IL the daughter of the late William and Amanda (nee Dolder) Dienst. Jeanene was a member of St John Lutheran Church in Somonauk until she married and moved into Yorkville, IL were she became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. At Immanuel she was active in the Women's Circle as well as teaching Sunday school and Bible classes. While her daughters were growing up she was active as a leader in Brownies and Girl Scouts. Jeanene is survived by her husband O. Thomas Coziahr, three daughters Nellene (Kevin) Fletcher of Maple Park, IL, Norrene (Greg) Love of Normal, IL, Naddene (David) Pilgrim of Fairbury, IL, six grandchildren Kyle and Kelsey Fletcher, Adam and Patrick Love, Amanda (Kyle) Calvert and Jordan Pilgrim, great granddaughter Adaline Calvert also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Darlene (Russell) Wessels, four brothers Fredell (Margaret) Dienst, Dale (Gertrude) Dienst, Carl (Charlotte)) Dienst, Wilbur (Lois) Dienst. Visitation will take place Monday, January 14, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 10104 Immanuel Rd in Yorkville, IL with Rev Michael Neel officiating. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Memorials may be directed to either Immanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
