Jean E. Wise, 87, of Plainfield formerly of Apple Canyon Lake and Aurora, IL, passed away on September 27th, 2018. She was born on December 29th, 1930 in Aurora, IL and was the daughter of Edward and Carrie Foth. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, IL and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL. Jean worked for many years as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant at East Aurora High School. After retirement she spent 20 years living her dreams at Apple Canyon Lake with her beloved husband Max Wise. Jean loved spending time with her family, sewing, and playing cards (Kings Corners) and doing crosswords with her Grandchildren. In her early days, she loved watching and supporting her children in their many sports and school activities. Jean loved to travel with her husband and spent many winters as "snow birds" in Largo, Florida. And she was known as the master of trivia in her Harbor Chase Senior Living community. Jean is survived by her children – Steve (Bridget) Wise, Scott (Laurie) Wise, and Suzy (John) McGary; grandchildren – Brad, Mark, and Chris Wise; Aaron, Alex, and Alicia Wise; Matt and Megan McGary; and great-grandchildren – Dakota, Olivia, Noah and Elijah. She is also survived by her brother Edward (Judy) Foth and sister Marlene (Bob) Gee. Jean is preceded in death by her husband Max Wise, her grand-daughter Angie Wise, her son Danny Wise in infancy, and her parents. A Memorial Service celebrating Jean's life will be held Friday, October 5th at the Community Christian Church located at 131 Montgomery Road, Montgomery, IL 60538. The service will start at 11 am and will be preceded by one hour of visitation with family and friends starting at 10 am. Interment will follow the service at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Montgomery, IL.
