IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet Christine
Collisi Née Puckett
April 21, 1961 – January 16, 2026
Obituary for Janet Christine Collisi née Puckett
Janet Collisi, 64, passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2026, in her home in Oswego, surrounded by her family.
Janet was born on April 21st, 1961, in Chicago, to Edward and Karen Puckett.
She grew up in Maywood and Bensenville and lived her adult life in Franklin Park and Oswego with family and friends.
Through hard work and dedication, Janet forged her career path in the insurance field. She served in several roles, from entry-level assistant to sales leadership, with her most proud career experiences surrounding her time in partnership with minor league baseball teams.
She was known for her kindness, laughter, generosity, and resilience. She took special joy in creating custom jewelry, taking in the beauty of our National Parks, reminiscing and creating new memories with family and friends, and playing with her granddaughters. She endured a long battle with chronic illness, meeting each day with quiet courage and never losing her spirit or love for others. In her passing, she has found rest, peace, and freedom from pain.
Janet is survived by her husband, Lance Collisi, her daughters, Jennifer (Greg) Loika and Brittany (Brian) Brandenburg, and her sister, Susan (Marty) Brown. She was a proud grandmother to four granddaughters, Charlee, Riley, Clara, and June, who brought her immense joy and countless laughs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Karen Puckett. The knowledge that she would soon be reunited with them brought her comfort in her final days.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 24th from 12:00pm - 3:00pm, with a service immediately to follow, located at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
For many years, Janet was a St. Jude Partner in Hope. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honor.
Let us remember Janet for her kindness, generosity, laughter, and warmth. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, wife, aunt, and friend.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY.
