James Talley 79, of Aurora, Il. passed away peacefully on Saturday December 9, 2023, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's and kidney disease.

James was born June 13, 1944, in Chicago Il. to Elmer Talley and Ann (Crilly) Talley.

James was a proud Army veteran who served his country honorably during the Vietnam war where he was stationed in Saigon. Upon return from active duty, he sought out his high school sweetheart Theresa Nowak and after a long pursuit, married her on October 12, 1968. James loved to spend time with his family, especially his 6 grandkids. James was an avid golfer who loved to play whenever he could and had a passion for vintage muscle cars.

James is survived by his two children, Jeffrey (Bethany) Talley of Aurora, Il. and Kristi (Brian) Banaski of Romeoville, Il; six grandchildren, Brian Jr., Brandon, Dylan, Addison, Lauren, and Zachary; his siblings MaryAnn (Chester) Sobczak of Romeoville, Il, Donald (Laura) Talley of Altoona, Wi., Dennis Talley of Justice, Il; his sister-in-law Kathleen Talley of Green Valley, Az.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

James was preceded in death by his loving wife Theresa, his parents, brothers Robert, John, Lawrence, and sister Karen Ciszczon.

A visitation for James will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL 60543 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Chapel prayers will be held on Thursday morning at 9:30 A.M. and then procession to St. Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass Oswego, IL 60543 where a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M.

Family and friends are asked to meet directly at Resurrection Cemetery 200 W. Romeo Road Romeoville, IL 60446 for the Mausoleum Committal Service at 12:30 P.M. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lighthouse Hospice, Parkinson's Foundation or Wounded Warriors Foundation.
