James E. Lang, age 80, of Aurora, IL, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his residence on Saturday, August 06, 2016. He was born February 1, 1936 in Raymond, IL, the son of Theodore C. "Ted" and Leona nee Nation Lang. Jim proudly served his country in the US Army. Following his service he worked as a manager for Unisys Corporation. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Aurora, IL. James also had been a member of Propmaster club of Naperville, IL. He loved helping people and spent many hours outside visiting with neighbors. He was always at the ready to assist any family member with any home repair projects they had. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Janice "Kay" nee Plummer Lang, children Constance "Connie" Lang of Naperville, IL, Deborah "Debbie" Lang (Devoted friend Gary) of Montgomery, IL, Laurie K. (Max) Janda of Naperville, IL, Theresa L. Lang of Cincinnati, OH, grandchildren Kelsey (special friend, Danny Chaidez) Gierzynski, Christine (special friend, Matt Pikowski) Seibert, Katherine Janda, Logan Janda, Steven Newman, Felicia (David) Nystrom, great grandchildren Patrick James Nystrom, Nicky & A.J. Latarulo, brothers Robert "Bob" Lang and William "Bill" (Patti) Lang, sister Mary Ann (Bud) Bugger of Quincy, IL, niece Diane Shupe and Nephews David (Gayle) Bugger and Matthew "Matt" (Crystal) Lang and Michael "Mike" (Stephani) Lang and special friend Steve Newman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Carol Lang. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 701 S. Eola Rd., Aurora, IL, 60504.
