James J. Henn, age 79, of Plainfield, IL, peacefully passed away from a long battle with Parkinson's disease, with his family by his side on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his residence. He was born February 19, 1942 in Aurora, IL the son of Joseph and Myrtle nee Aigner Henn. James proudly served his country in the US Navy. Following his honorable discharge, James worked as a plumber and a 55-year member of Plumber's Local 130 and served as trustee of the Aurora Plumber's Union 319. He loved his family and enjoyed taking them on yearly fishing trips to Wisconsin. In his retirement years, he made doll houses for his granddaughters to cherish. He was also interested in deer hunting. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Fern nee Sanders Henn (whom he married on February 27, 1965), daughter Jackie (Tim) Carwyle, son Matt (Barb) Henn, 7 grandchildren, Travis Carwyle, Paige Carwyle, Ellie Bakel, Genevieve Henn, Jacob Henn, Isabella Henn, Kadyn Henn and 1 great-granddaughter Juliana. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jason Henn, a brother Michael Henn and a sister Patricia Barber. Service will be held at a future date.
