It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Paul Gaddis Jr., a cherished husband, devoted son, beloved brother, and a man with a spirit as bright as his smile. Jim departed this world peacefully on March 22, 2026, at the age of 64.

Jim was born on July 15, 1961, in Monmouth, Illinois. He was the treasured son of James Paul Gaddis and Ruby nee Keever Gaddis.

In 1983, Jim married the love of his life, Susan nee Leihsing Gaddis, and together they walked hand in hand through 42 beautiful years of marriage.

Jim was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed finding and trying new recipes. He had an infectious good sense of humor that could light up any room and bring smiles to the faces of those around him. His passion for classic movies and his collection of toys and collectibles spoke to his zest for life, always finding magic in the little things.

Professionally, Jim found fulfillment in his dream job at Ashton Drake, where he poured his heart into his work each day. He also cherished his time at Blockbuster, sharing his love for film with others.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his devoted parents, James and Ruby; and his dear sisters, Tonia (Ron) Colburn and Toni Franklin. As they navigate this time of loss, they find solace in the memories of Jim's laughter, his kindness, and the countless ways he touched their lives.
