James E. Dowling, age 57, of Newark, IL, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Joliet Area Community Hospice. He was born October 2, 1963 in Naperville, IL, the son of James W. and Yvonne M. Firestein Dowling. James was owner of Dowling Construction Company, and built several of the houses in the Newark and surrounding communities. He was always working hard, but made time for his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Yvonne, children Nicki Dowling, James Dowling, sister Deb (Rich) Giba, niece Kelly (Jes) Goelz, nephew Kenneth Timke and great nieces and great nephews.
