James Douglas Donaldson, 83, of Oswego, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 25, 1938 in Chicago, IL, son to the late Alec and Mary (nee Aspan) Donaldson. James was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his extended family. He loved to dance, and was known among his family for his jitterbug and sense of humor. He was a hard worker, started his own Realtor/Broker and Property management business. Survivors include his loving wife, Sylvia (nee Tatusko); children: Denise (Gary) Wright, Carol (Jim) Flanagan, Lisa (Mike) DiMonte and David (Tina) Donaldson; grandchildren: Timothy Wright, Brian (Megan) Wright, Alyssa (Peter) Honiotes, Lindsay (Ryan) Hirsowitz, Sarah Morris, Jessica Morris, Drew DiMonte and Jacob Donaldson; great grandchildren: Evelyn Honiotes, Preston Hirsowitz and Liam Wright; sister, Barbara (Steve) Cecil; brother, Douglas (Connie) Donaldson; and sisters-in-law, Kay Donaldson, and Gloria (Jim) Burke. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ronald Donaldson. Visitation will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego IL 60543.
