Howard Leroy Hannon, Jr of Oswego, peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 10, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Howard Leroy Hannon Sr and Fanchon nee Constable Hannon.

He married his loving wife Nancy on June 30, 1957. Howard was an Army veteran. He was employed with the State of Illinois as a maintenance man with 25+ years of service. Howard was a joker who loved to tell jokes. He loved his Clydesdale horses, having the newest cars, especially his mini cooper and camaro.

He is survived by his sons; Patrick (Barb) and Timothy (Tina), grandchildren; Scott, Kelsey, Anthony, Anjelina and Kevin, great grandchildren; Michael, Lilah and Xander, siblings; Michael, Sandy, and Bobby.

He was preceded by his wife Nancy Hannon (2/20/1999) and daughter Debbie.

Howard would want to thank everyone for coming to visit and talk to him. He told us his final joke to share with everyone. He likes making an ASH out of himself. Love and prayers to Howard may he be telling his jokes in heaven….

Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 12:00 NOON to 4:00 P.M. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL 60543 with a memorial service at 3:30 P.M. Cremation rites have been accorded.
