Herbert Leo Kleinhardt, 86, of Aurora, IL, formerly of Northbrook, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022. He was born in Chicago on July 14, 1935 to the late Leo and Ella Kleinhardt. He would go on to become a tool and die maker with Plastool and honorably served his country for nine years in the National Guard. In 1962 he married the love of his life, Marilyn Scheuer, with whom he would go on to spend just shy of 60 years and have two sons. He will be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, godfather, brother-in-law and friend; as well as fondly remembered as a devoted Scout Master and avid woodcarver. Herbert is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn, his two children, Richard and Steven (Debbie) Kleinhardt, and his granddaughter Alyssa Kleinhardt. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ella Kleinhardt. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S.
