IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry T.
Jones
March 15, 1950 – March 6, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henry T. Jones, who left this world on March 6, 2025, just shy of his 75th birthday. Born on March 15, 1950, in Water Valley, Mississippi, Henry lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a profound sense of responsibility to his family.
Henry was the beloved son of Charles Jones and Betty March Banks, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Nebes Jones, whom he married on April 11, 1970. Together, they nurtured a loving family that became the cornerstone of his life. He is also survived by two sons, Paul (Mary) Jones and Jason (Laurie) Jones, and five cherished grandchildren—Michael, Daniel, Jacob, Matthew, and Kristina—who brought him immense joy and pride.
Henry is also survived by his sisters, Nancy (Ron) Knittle and Avis (Alan) Havlik, who shared many cherished memories with him over the years. Their bond was a testament to the importance of family connections that Henry valued deeply.
Throughout his life, Henry exemplified the role of a strong family man. His commitment to his loved ones was unwavering, and he often spoke of the joys and challenges of parenthood and grandparenthood with a twinkle in his eye. Henry was not only a husband and father; he was a mentor and a guiding light for his family.
A long-haul truck driver by profession, Henry embraced the open road as a part of his life's journey. His work took him across the country, where he formed connections with people from diverse backgrounds, always sharing stories of his family and the values he held dear. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country with honor and integrity. Henry was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, Illinois.
In addition to his professional and familial commitments, Henry enjoyed the freedom of long truck drives, which allowed him to reflect and appreciate the beauty of the landscapes he traversed. His hobbies were simple, but they were filled with meaning—time spent on the road was often complemented by thoughts of his family waiting at home.
