Henry C Wiedman, 78 years, of Montgomery, IL died suddenly on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born August 17, 1938 in Effingham, IL the son of the late Edward L and Mary E nee Taphorn Wiedman. He was a member of St Anne Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #7247 both of Oswego, IL. He was a teacher prior to his retirement in 2000 starting at Hoopeston Junior High School, then from 1965 to 2000 at Oswego High School in Oswego, IL (Teaching biology and anatomy) and part time for five years at Waubonsee Community College (teaching anatomy). He was a member of the Kendall County Retired Teachers Association, National Teachers Association and the Illinois Teachers Association. Henry is survived by his wife Theresa Ann nee Grunloh Wiedman, (Whom he married on August 21, 1965 in Effingham, IL), a daughter Sara Wiedman of Tampa, FL, a son Christopher (Heather) Wiedman of Cedar Falls, IA, three grandchildren Victoria, Aubrey and Maisie Wiedman, twin brothers Jim (Joyce) Wiedman of Centralia, IL and John (Doris) Wiedman of Effingham, IL. He was also preceded in death by two sisters Elizabeth Wiedman and Carolyn Laue. Hank loved the outdoors; was an avid bird watcher; loved following his favorite sport teams, especially University of Illinois; loved helping others and making them laugh and smile; enjoyed his volunteer work ;loved being with his family and his beloved granddaughters. He and Theresa were almost always seen together as best friends as well as spouses who loved Oswego. Visitation will take place of Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Cremation will take place followed by inurnment at Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
