Hazel Waclaw, age 97, of Oswego, IL, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at her residence. She was born on November 5, 1928, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Russell and Sina nee Hawkins Herbold.

Hazel was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL for more than 60 years. She retired from Marcley's after 30 years of loyal service.

She is survived by her two daughters Cindy (Denny) Koons and Cathy (Paul) Shayatovich, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Waclaw, son John R. Waclaw, son John W. Verhoeven, one sister and two brothers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543. Burial to follow at Pearce Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
