Jodine L. Harney, 74, of Sheridan died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Jodine was born January 24, 1940 in Ottawa to Archie "Mose" & Marjorie (Charles) Anderson. Before her retirement she had been a teller at the Sheridan State Bank for 39 years. Her great joy was her gardening and her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Herbert Brent (Cindy) Harney of Newark; her daughter, Marcie (John) Rich of Saunemin, IL.; her honorary son, David (Stephanie) Roberg of Las Vegas, NV.; her three grandchildren, Danny Olson of Peoria, Paige Olson of Saunemin and Alexandria Schutt of Newark. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Darwin Anderson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9th at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd in Sheridan. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Hyo-Sun Oh officiating. Interment will be at the Elerding Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the OSF.
