Hafenrichter, Lucille E., 94, passed away May 8, 2014 at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care in Napervile. She was born December 13, 1919 in Oswego, IL. On January 3, 1942 she married Everett R. Hafenrichter at Oswego Prairie Evangelical United Brethren Church in Oswego. They farmed together for the next 40 years until they purchased a Canadian fishing resort in The Lake of the Woods area. For many years they operated this resort in the summers and spent the winter months in Oswego. Lucille was active in the PTA, church women's organizations, church activities, The International House in Chicago and the Oswego 19th Century Club. She was an excellent seamstress, superb cook, avid fisherwoman and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include: Dalman (Inez) Hafenrichter, Delreen Hafenrichter, Durwood (Judy) Hafenrichter, 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Hafenrichter and two brothers, Harold Bower and Arnold Bower. To allow for out of town relatives, visitation will be at Dunn Family Funeral Home With Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 16,2014. Funeral service will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 5 W. Washington St., Oswego Saturday, May 17, 2014,10:30 a.m. with Rev. Philip Sheets officiating. Burial at Lincoln Memorial Park, will follow the service.
