Gloria M. (nee Strelecky) Virgo, age 76, of Aurora, IL, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2020 at Alden of Waterford in Aurora, IL. She was born December 28, 1944 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (nee Lichner) Strelecky. Gloria worked several jobs within the community including Lisle Savings Bank prior to retirement. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Education. She used her degree working as an elementary school teacher for many years. She is a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Aurora, IL, where she had great joy singing in the choir. The highlight of her life was the treasured time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Steve (Kim) Virgo, her two daughters Marlene (Butch) Galliete and Kathryn (Andy) Holm. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren Brigitte, Sarah and Clayton Virgo, Tatum, Taylor, Mace, Cole, Casey and Elijah Galliete, Bryce and Brooke Holm, two great-grandchildren Emberlyn and Ashlyn Younker. Gloria is also survived by her two sisters LaVerne Koch and Grace Kraft. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Joan Ervanian and Ruth Dunlavey. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until Noon on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
