Georgianna Casey, age 80, passed away April 13, 2023 at her residence in Aurora, IL. She was born February 22, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Casimer and Hilda nee Doberstein Snopek.

Prior to her retirement, Georgianna worked for a law firm in Lisle, IL. She was an active member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Aurora, IL. She loved attending social events with her fellow parishioners. She had a soft spot for rescuing dogs and loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her children, Michele (Paul Smith) Casey, Elizabeth (Wilson) Sanchez, Jennifer (Michael) Campbell, Jackelyn (Adam) Szatkowski, daughter-in-law Peggy Casey, grandchildren, Emily Grace Smith, Matthew Smith, Joseph (Marjorie) Sanchez, James Sanchez, Clarissa Sanchez, Christina Sanchez, Madison Campbell, Ella Campbell, Kylie Campbell, Michael Campbell, Jr., Olivia Szatkowski, Charlotte Szatkowski, and great-grandchildren Nicolas, Leonardo and Kaila Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Casey, son Michael Casey and brother Casimer Snopek.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, Illinois 60421.
