IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George Paul
Reicheneker
August 22, 1942 – December 20, 2025
George Paul Reicheneker, formerly of Laura, IL, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on August 22, 1942, in Kewanee, Illinois.
George was the son of the late LaVerne and Mary (nee Nosal) Reicheneker. George became a life-long farmer. His commitment to farming was matched only by his dedication to his family. He enjoyed fishing, especially the family trips to Bemidji, MN each summer. After his retirement, he lived several years in Arizona with his son. He then returned to Oswego, IL, with his daughter.
On November 24, 1962, George married the love of his life, Nancy Runyon. Together, they built a life rich with memories, laughter, and a shared love for good food—especially pancakes, cinnamon rolls, donuts, and pie. George had a humorous side, often playfully declaring his dislike for chicken, which became an endearing quirk among family and friends.
George was a good husband, a loving and involved dad, and a wonderful grandpa and great grandpa. He is survived by his cherished children: Angela (Dean) Fecht, Lynette (Brad) Lantz, Dennis Reicheneker, and Amy (Phil) Perino. His legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren: Leigha Reicheneker, Kirby Fecht, Aeden Roger, Drake Roger, Jordan Lantz, Hunter Lantz, Emma Perino and Logan Perino as well as his great-grandchildren, Anthony and Alexander Reicheneker. Each of them carries a piece of George in their heart, inspired by the love and guidance he provided throughout his life.
In addition to his immediate family, George is survived by his siblings, Frank (Susie) Reicheneker and Sandy Guingrich.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy, and his sons, Paul, Gregory and Patrick.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Rd Oswego, IL 60543.
