George E. Knickerbocker, Jr., age 75, of Oswego, IL died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1943 in Chicago, IL to the late George E. and Mary Ann nee Frodsham Knickerbocker, Sr. George served his country in the United State Coast Guard and was active with the VietNow Organization. George is survived by his wife of 27 years, San Juana nee Estrada, daughter, Kristin Knickerbocker, two sons, Steven (Michelle) Knickerbocker and Dagoverto Rodriguez, one granddaughter, Brianna Knickerbocker and a sister in law, Jean McCarthy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother John J. McCarthy. Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 4:00 until the funeral service at 7:30 P.M. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY at 1801 South Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. Cremation was the wishes of George with a burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at a later date.
