Gary Wayne Banks, age 67 of Oswego, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 12, 1951 in Stevens Point, WI the son of Clifford and Georgia nee Privia Banks.          Gary worked as a Lumber Manager for Cedar Components before retiring in 2005. Gary had numerous hobbies including playing slot machines, garage sales, fireworks, old westerns, road trips and amusement parks.  He loved country, 50's & 60's music and Andy Griffith.  He was an avid coffee drinker and a pizza aficionado.  Above all he loved his family, his dogs and loved being the jokester and his well-known saying "I get my hair from my dad and my heart from my mom."         He is survived by his children Christine (Richard) Kimball, Laura (Edward) Capodice, Samantha (Michael) Zangri, grandchildren Thomas & Michael Capodice, Kelsey & Jacob Banks, Dylan & Nicholas Zangri, great grandson Lincoln Capodice, little buddy Jacob "Hot Cocoa" Gil,  sisters Carren (Tom) Horton, Judy (Larry) VanKampen, Marilyn (Ken) Kitlarz, brother George Banks, dogs Jessie, Dee-Dee, Shelby and former wife Brenda Banks.         He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Banks and dogs Candy (His wife), Roxy and Dottie. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S.
