Gail Arleen Secor, 82, of Oswego, IL died peacefully at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL on January 1, 2025.

She was born in Chicago, IL on July 18, 1942, to Father William Yokas and Mother Ruth Compton.

Gail attended grade school at Mayfair Elementary School in Chicago, IL; Middle School at Schaumburg Junior High School and High School at Palatine High School before studying Education at Illinois State University. Following her education, she worked as a Librarian at Palatine Public Library.

Gail married her beloved husband, John Secor, on August 20th, 1971. They were the love of each other's lives, married 53 years. Together, they enjoyed skiing, dancing, gardening, "Beer Time" on the back porch and attending the many sporting events in support of their sons and grandchildren.

Gail had a love for football which her dad instilled at a young age, and she was an avid dog lover, rescuing many dogs over the years to be part of their family.

Gail was preceded in death by Father William Yokas, Mother Ruth Compton, Brother Don Yokas, Sister Peggy Wojtal and Brother-in-laws Tim Walsh and Don Wojtal.

She is survived by Husband John Secor, Son Don (Beth) Secor, Son Doug (Kristi) Secor, Brother Bill (Kay) Yokas, Brother Dan Yokas, Brother Jim (Marsha) Yokas, Sister-n-law Bev (Lou) Czech, 5 grandchildren (Kendyl, Kyla, Colin, Samantha and Matthew) and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Gail will be held at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL from 10:00 A.M. until time of service12:00 NOON, January 8, 2025, followed by a procession to the burial site located at Lincoln Memorial Park at 675 Route 30 Aurora, IL 60503. Celebration of Life lunch reception to follow services.
