Gail Emma Gross, age 77, of Oswego, IL, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Amita Health Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born April 22, 1944 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Nicholas and Alma nee Fruehe Miller. Gail was a loving homemaker and an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. At church, she was a prolific provider of prayer shawls and a member of the choir. In her spare time, she was a patient and eager teacher of knitting, crocheting and needlework. She was fond of owls, raspberries, and beautiful roses. Her priority was always her cherished family. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Nicholas A. Gross, daughters Julia (Roger) Nattkemper, Marjorie (Nicklas) Salvaggione, Dorothy (Jason) Ramey, grandchildren Adria Ramey, Evan Nattkemper, Nathaniel Nattkemper, brother Andrew (Jacqueline) Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and best friend Lois LeDuc, and brothers Mark Miller and James Miller. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543.
