Frank Badus Jr, age 76, of Yorkville, IL, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday December 18, 2023. He was born on August 9, 1947 in Chicago, IL the son of Frank Sr and Mary nee Warchol Badus and raised by his foster parents Elizabeth and Edward Clark. A private memorial was held on January 27, 2024 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL.

Frank attended Our Lady Help of Christians Grade School and graduated from Austin High School in Chicago, IL. He became a pipe fitter for Local 597 in 1969 and retired after his heart transplant in 1994, which gave him an extra 29 years to be with his family. He loved his job, but loved his family even more. He was able to walk his daughters down the aisle and watch his son get married. He was also able to enjoy his 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Leaving his family to be with his heavenly Father was the hardest thing for him. He fought hard to the very end.

Frank found immense joy in both construction work and spending hours in his workshop. His enthusiasm to build extended to sports, where coaching naturally became an extension of his passion. Over the years, he dedicated himself to leading his son's baseball and soccer teams, with a mission beyond skill instruction – it was about instilling a profound love for the game. Today, the echoes of admiration and affection from the players on his teams stand as a testament to the enduring impact he had on their lives.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary nee Pampinella Badus, daughter Michelle (Matt) Morris, son Frank E. (Maria) Badus, daughter Nicole (Jeff) Shimkus, 6 grandchildren Kayla (Matt), Matthew, Samantha, Alexandra, Frankie and Nathan and 3 great grandchildren Everly, Joey and Mila.

We were all loved by him and we loved him very much. He will be missed.
