Francis Kenneth Bennett, age 78, of Montgomery, IL, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. He was born June 25, 1938 in Aurora, IL, the son of Elmer and Violet nee Carrier Bennett. Francis worked for Caterpillar in Montgomery, IL as a machinist for 33 years. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL, and was active in the Oswego Senior Center. He was a bus drive for Oswego School District 308 for 12 years and was a Boy Scout leader for 30 years. He volunteered for many years at the Kendall County Food Pantry. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Joyce Bennett of Montgomery, IL, sons Joseph (Ronda) Bennett of Oswego, IL, Michael (Michele) Bennett of Somonauk, IL, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters Virginia Rae Karn of Mendota, IL, and Violet Mae Edwards of Sandwich, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, sons Francis Kenneth Bennett, II, and Daniel Raymond Bennett. Visitation will be on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543.
